Sirmione from the lake
On board of a private boat it will be possible to circumnavigate the Sirmione peninsula admiring from the lake the Scaligero Castle, the perfectly preserved lake fortress with its fortified dock built by the Scala seigniory in the second half of 1300. We will then proceed with the view of Villa Callas, the summer residence of the famous opera singer, and the thermal baths, and then we will reach the Grotte di Catullo, the largest archaeological area in northern Italy, the remains of the imposing Roman villa that tradition indicates as the first residence of the Latin poet Catullus. Then you will stop at the point where, on the surface of the lake, the bubbles of the thermal spring of Sirmione emerge. The hot has curative properties.
The tour begins and ends at the port of Sirmione.
It can last from 20 minutes to 2 hours depending on the size of the group and therefore the means of transport and how much you want to navigate.
Upon request, a tourist guide of Lake Garda can go on board to explain history, art and stories about what will be admired during the navigation.
